Nani is an Associate at KRL International, where she supports U.S. private-sector clients across African markets, helping develop and execute strategies that advance their objectives and secure U.S. government support for projects tied to U.S. strategic priorities, including infrastructure and critical minerals. Her role also includes researching and analyzing U.S.–Africa policy developments, preparing memos and reports, and shaping communications and engagement strategies for interactions with U.S. government officials, Congress, think tanks, academia, and international institutions. In addition, Nani also leads the firm's business development efforts by identifying and vetting prospective clients and strategic partners.
Prior to joining KRL, Nani held roles at the International Forum on Sovereign Wealth Funds, the Clooney Foundation for Justice, and the Center for International Policy. In 2019, Nani Founded Misale Initiative, a non-profit organization in Ethiopia that provides mentorship and career development support to university students and recent graduates. She ran the organization until May 2023.
Nani holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John's College. Nani is originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
